Greetings Loyal Airmen, as all of you, Covid disrupted so many facets of all industry around the world. That includes the publishing world. Two years ago the Air Chief was asked to write a “different” kind of Dracula story for a new anthology to be produced by Australia’s IFWG Publishing out of Australia. The editor was Christopher Sequeira. It’s a “what if” concept wherein all the writers were challenged with creating a “different” Dracula, not the one envisioned by Bram Stoker. Anyway, Covid showed up this project, like many, many others was delayed. Now, IFWB has at long last announced the release date of the book will be May 2th.

One of Airship 27 Production’s most popular book series is our MYSTERY  MEN (& Women) and Volume # 8 is currently in production. This is the showcase series where we debut brand new pulp heroes rather than the classic figures most pulp fans are familiar. The past seven volume have brought forth some pretty cool heroes and this new volume is going to be just as strong. Art Director Rob Davis will be providing all the art for this one, to include his cover featuring Dr. Fixit. Before his passing away last year, writer Greg Hatcher had completed three Dr. Fixit tales. Number One appeared in Vol 6, Number Two in Vol 7 and now comes Number 3. Note, Greg had begun a fourth Dr. Fixit story and we’ve special plans to see that one finished and published. Also appearing in this new volume will be Kevin Findley’s western vigilante Quirt beautiful rendered above by Rob. Mark Allen Vann offers up Killdevil, Joel Jenkins the another Eel and Adder adventure and finally the new Dr. Fixit yarn which, in honor of Greg, gets the cover spot as is previewed above. Last year we published the first in a new series by writer Nancy Hansen, “The Silver Pentacle” # 2 and the artist on that project, doing both interior illustrations and the super cover seen above was our good friend Guy Davis. Nancy has since turned in her manuscript to the second book in the series and the drawing above at right is Guy’s first illustration for it. We’re are thrilled that Guy is back on board and will also do the cover when the time comes. Stay tuned.
