Greetings Loyal Airmen, well this year’s Windy City Pulp & Paper Con is coming up next week and the Air Chief couldn’t be happier. We sorely missed attending this show last year. It is always one of our favorites for Airship 27 Productions. And this year will be special, as Art Director Rob Davis and the Air Chief have discounted all our new title to only $12 each in the hopes of moving lots of our back inventory from 2019 and to give all our con followers a huge bargain. Hope to see you there.
Of course the fun of the show is seeing what’s new from all the New Pulp publishers such as one of our favorites, Moonstone Books. We’ve written for editor/publisher Joe Gentile more times than we can count. Above is a new promo Moonstone just release and included works by the Air Chief’s colleagues and friends such a Tommy Hancock, James Chambers and Mike Bullock. You can find these titles today at their on-line website. Tell them the Air Chief sent you.
On the pulp front, artist Chris Nye wrapped up his nine black and white illustrations for Teel James Glenn’s sword and planet novel, “Dragonthroat.” See above left. Now comes the task of recruiting someone to do the cover. The idea will be two riders atop the alien horses of this world. To help whoever takes on the task, Art Director drew up a sketch of one such animal based on Glenn’s descriptions.
Finally, we rarely post cartoons here, but one of Valerie’s pet peeves is shopping carts with broken wheels that don’t turn. She seems to get one every time we go grocery shopping. So when the Air Chief saw the one above on-line earlier this week, we knew she’d get a big laugh out of it. So Val, this one is for you.
And that’s it for this week Loyal Airmen. Thanks ever for stopping by.
Ron – Over & Out!
