MORE FAMILY PICTURES

  • On 24 Jun | '2011

Greeting Loyal Airmen, last week we posted a bunch of family pictures Valerie and the Air Chief snapped while on our trip back east.  Here are the rest we promised to share with you, each special to us.

Granddaughter Chelsea LeClerc offering up some java at the coffee she works at back in Berwick, Me., Aroma Joe's.   The Air Chief and Valerie made it a point to stop by and pick up our favorite brew.  Chelsea will be a junior at Noble High School next year and is her class president.

Our granddaughter Kristi and the family pet, Chloe.  Dig that cowboy hat, the Air Chief still has to get one of those.  Kristi finished her first year at the University of New Hampshire on the Dean's List and we're all so proud of her.

And finally my favorite pix of course, Chelsea, the Air Chief and Kristi.  How lucky and blessed can one man be. Valerie and the Air Chief have six amazing grand kids and getting to visit and spend time with these two was truly wonderful.  We love and miss them already.  Those twelve days back in New England went by in a blur.

Last we also announced the release of  MR.JIGSAW – Man of a Thousand Parts # 9 from Redbud Studio.  Well we've produced as yet another title from this outfit and it is the private eye strip, PRICE FOR THE ASKING, which is co-written by the Air Chief and his pal, Bill Gladman.  Now a new page of PFTA appears every Monday on the Comic Related website.  Then, when the story is completed, we collect and print them as we've done with this first tale, “Yesterday's Burning.” It features the art of Brian Latimer, Chris Hoskins and Tim Hagans and the book also has two short prose stories by yours truly starring Detroit private-eye, Simon Pryce.  So we hope you'll check it out by going to our Redbud Studio link on our LINKS page.  Note, the second PFTA story arc, “Moving Targets” is now running on the site.

Finally, last year the good folks Wild Wolf Entertainment honored us with their best-selling award for our graphic novel, DAUGHTER OF DRACULA.  Well, lo and behold, Sean Collins of WWE recently informed Rob Davis and the Air Chief that our first ADVENTURES OF MR.JIGSAW collection has won that title for last year.

This was quite an honor and we can't thank Sean enough.  Let's see if we can go three for three.  Wild Wolf Entertainment will soon be releasing their edition of the award winning BOSTON BOMBERS graphic novel, thus getting it out to a larger audience for us.  All WWE books are on sale at Amazon and other book distributors.

And there you have it for this week, Loyal Airmen.  Except to say we've truly been enjoying the current crop of summer comic book movies.  Both THOR and the GREEN LANTERN were much fun.  Haven't seen the new X-Men reboot, but we are totally psyched about CAPTAIN AMERICA.  Hope you Loyal Airmen are too.
