Greetings Loyal Airmen, here we are, one day away from Free Comic Book Day, the annual party day wherein the major comic companies provide free comics to retail comic shops across the country.  Most comic shops celebrate the event with guest creators and whatever else they can think of to entertain their old and new customers to come to pick up all these cool…and free comic books on this one day.

This year the Air Chief will be a guest at Gryphon Games & Comics here in our new home town of Fort Collins, Colorado.  Husband and wife team owners, Sherman and Liana have five other professional creators on hand beside the Air Chief, one of these being the Eisner winning writer of Nexus and the Badger, Mike Baron. So please, if any of you Loyal Airmen are in the area, please stop by.  The address etc. is listed above.

The Air Chief will have copies of all our issues (1-8) of  MR.JIGSAW, Man of a Thousands Part to sell and autograph to all the folks who stop by and visit.  And we'll also be giving away to each person who stops by a free Mr.Jigsaw trading card.
   
Speaking of our loveable break-apart hero, issue # 9 is complete and should be going to the printers any day now so stay tuned for more goofy fun as only Jiggy can provide.

THOR the summer blockbuster based on the Marvel Comic series opens in theaters all over the country today. Early advance screenings have created a real positive buzz that this movie is a solid, action hit.  The Air Chief hopes to catch it Monday afternoon.

Next week's Flight Log will be another early entry, as next Thursday evening we are flying down to Arkansas to attend the first ever Pulp Ark convention/conference.  The Air Chief and his pal, Rob Davis, will of course be representing Airship 27 Productions and we are both extremely excited about this new show.  Over twenty eight of the finest writers and artist of the New Pulp movement will be on hand in this truly historical gathering.  We'll have more to tell you about this after we get back.
