The Air Chief Gives Thumbs Up To HALLOWEEN
Greeting Loyal Airmen, as you can see by the photo above, the Air Chief is already to dispense lots of candy treats to whatever little ghosts, goblins or zombies come marching up the steps to our new Colorado Hangar.  Honestly, this is one of our favorite holidays ever, bringing back tons of memories of when we were kids back in New Hampshire, getting all dressed up and going out on what we called Beggar's Night.  This took place the evening before Halloween.  Here in Fort Collins, Trick or Treat happens on Halloween night itself.  Time to take out some horror DVDs and settle in for some good, scary fun.

                                         View From Our Back Yard
One of the joys of living here in Fort Collins, at the foothills of the magnificent Rocky Mountains is the majestic view we have whenever we look westward.  Early this afternoon Valerie and the Air Chief went out for a good, brisk hour long walk.  Passing by a local high school down the street from our house, Val brought along her camera to snap a few pictures of the scenery so that we could share it with you Loyal Airmen.  And keep in mind what you are seeing in this photo is only the westward start of the entire range…these peaks are only the start of the actual Rockies.  Totally awe inspiring.

Speaking of inspiring, our daughter Michelle, along with her best friend, Tammy, has started a blog called BEST FRIENDS IN FAITH.  It is devoted to Christian women and intended to provide them with friendship, support and encouragement.  All of us in the family are so proud of her and this new venture.  If you are curious, you can find it at (http://www.michelleandtammy.blogspot.com) .

Finally, we leave you this week with a sneak-peek at an exciting new project currently being assembled; AIRSHIP 27 PRESENTS – ALL STAR PULP COMICS.  This 56 pg black and white comic will feature seven 8 pg adventures starring classic pulp heroes such as the Purple Scar, the Rook and Domino Lady among others.  It will feature the return of veteran artists Jeff Butler (Badger & Green Hornet) and Steve Erwin (Superman, Checkmate & Terminator Deathstroke) back to comics for the first time in over a decade.  Rob Davis will produce this amazing joint between Airship 27 & Redbud Studio.  Above is his terrific logo for the proposed color cover.  Stay tuned, Loyal Airmen, we'll keep you posted as it develops. We hope to have it finished by the start of 2011 and have copies for sale at next year's Windy City Pulp & Paper con.

And there you have our Flight Log for this, the end of October and the start of November.  We wish all you Loyal Airmen a fun filled, safe HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
