COLORADO HOME BASE

  • On 15 Oct | '2010

Greetings Loyal Airmen, after a three week hiatus in which we crossed this amazing country by auto, we've arrived at the new Hangar 27 headquarters here in Fort Collins, Colorado.  Thanks to all your well wishes and prayers for a safe journey.  Son Scott wouldn't let me behind the wheel once and drove the entire distance.  So we've set up the new office and are quickly getting familiar with our beautiful surroundings.

Here's a great photo of the Air Chief and Valerie posing outside their new Colorado home.  A tip of the hat to son Alan, who found it for us and helped get it all ready for our arrival.  We certainly been blessed with the best kids in the world.  Oh, and Val borrowed Alan's cowboy hat for this pix.  The Air Chief is now on the hunt for THE right cowboy hat.  Stay tuned.

Alan, the Air Chief and Scott
We particularly love this shot of the three of us smiling happily in front of the new house.  We could not have made this monumental move without the love and support of these two fine men.  My sons are the best in the world.  We are so proud of them.  We are posing in front of Alan's pick-up truck.

                                      Scott Ready For Trip Home
Scott saw this folding chair in the back of Alan's pick up truck and jumped in.  Looked at us and said, “Drive this thing to Conn.”  Hahahaha.  The two days the Air Chief spent on the road with him are two of the best days of my life and a special memory the both of us will share forever.  Of course we bought him a ticket home and he flew out of Denver after spending two days with us. The brothers truly enjoyed being together again.

And finally, here's a shot of the Air Chief getting squared away in his brand new office.  Son Alan brought over this wonderful desk for us to use and as you can see, the monitor is up and we're ready to get back to writing and editing our comics and pulp novels.  Life is truly good and God is wonderful.  So happy to be back here sharing these adventures with all you Loyal Airmen.  You guys are the tops.
