As much as vacations are fun and needed, one of the few negative aftereffects is being way-way behind on your projects upon getting home. And believe, the Air Chief is dealing with that now. Oh yeah, but sill we’ll keep pushing forward.
While on our trip back East, Valerie and the Air Chief read through Scott Hahn’s book, “Hope to Die,” a truly wonderful and inspirational dissertation on dying, heaven and the sanctity of the human body as created by God. Both of us were profoundly moved by it and it has given us a new perspective on planning our own final days. In keeping with that somber theme, we also took time to visit our old town cemetery and above right is a pix of the Fortier family tombstone. Interred in this plot are our great-grandparents, my grandparents, our grandparents, Mom and Dad and a several aunts and uncles. They were all amazing souls and miss them dearly. One day, praying for that amazing reunion in heaven. Here’s wishing all of you same blessing.
THE BLACK TERROR 2.0While gone, artist Dell Barras was keeping busy drawing our new comic for Antarctic Press, BLACK TERROR 2.0 – above is one of his completed pages with colors by pal David Rios. This one is a weird tale Loyal Airmen which we hope you’ll enjoy.

Then we have Airship 27 Prodcution’s newest pulp release, “BOOK HUNTERS SENIOR.” It is the third in this series of old Chinese magic by writer Barbara Doran with interior illustrations by Gary Kato and a stunning cover by Guy Davis. Now available at Amazon in both papeback and on Kindle.
JIN & TONIK 2
Meanwhile things are really heating up in “JIN & TONIK” # 2 with the incredible art of Cesar Feliciano. Cesar, home from his own Mexican vacation, promise to get the last 10 pages finished soon. Then off to Matt Webb for his brilliant colors and then Mike Belchers letters. Should easily see this one done before year’s end.And here’s another sample of Matt Webb’s beautiful colors on another page from this issue.
CHIVALRY INC.
Here are the soft pencils of Pg 17, from CHIVALRY, INC. issue # 2 by the awesome Javier Lugo. As to when issue # 1 will see the light of day, we have absolutely no clue. That’s all in the hands of the crew at Silverline, Comics. Oh, you might want to check them out. They really do great comics.
THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN CON 2025
Don’t look now, but in one more week, it will be time for the Air Chief’s favorite con, the Rocky Mountain Con, held in Denver and put on by our dear friend Tim Moret. We’ve been a steady guest at this fun show since it began and look forward to it every year. So…if you happen to be anywhere in the Denver area on the 8th & 9th of Nov, come on down to the Embassy Suite and check it out. You’ll be glad you did.
THE POCKET ROSARY
Finally we end this week’s Flight Log with a shout-out of thanks to fellow writer/editor and good pal, Adam Messer. Adam and the Air Chief are practicing Catholics and our faith is all important in our lives. So imagine my pleasant surprise when he sent me this coin known as a Pocket Rosary. On one side is Our Lord on his cross and surrounding him are 10 raised nodes for saying ten Hail Marys, and on the flip side is picture of our Blessed Mother. We now carry this wonderful medal everywhere we go. Thanks so much, Adam and God Bless.
