Greetings Loyal Airmen, as we write this Flight Log, many of our colleagues are in San Diego attending the big San Diego Comic Con.  We wish them all a fantastic weekend.

Last week Airship 27 Productions released Fred Adams Jr.’s sequel weird western novel, SIX-GUN TERRORS Vol Two.  Well don’t look now, but this week’s release is another Adams thriller, C.O. JONES – Mobsters & Monsters, about a World War II veteran with magical abilities.  And it is the first in a new series.  Adams is really a writing machine.  The book can be had on Amazon in both hard-copy and on Kindle. The cover painting is by Carl Yonders and features 9 black and white illustrations by artist Clayton Hinkle.  As ever, thanks for your continued support.

As most of you Loyal Airmen know, the Air Chief loves to read, when he’s not busy writing and editing a million other projects, and we have our own review blog called Pulp Fiction Reviews.  On an average we read fifty books a year and while most of good and enjoyable, every once in a while a title comes along that is so exceptional that we want to share it with you.  Such is the case with SHERLOCK HOLMES – Blood to the Bone by Andrew Salmon and published by the Fight Club crew.  This book is simply amazing.  Please take a minute to visit my PFR site and read my full review, we think you’ll like it.  (http://www.pulpfictionreviews.blogspot.com/)

On another happy note, the Air Chief received his copies of NIGHTHAWK – Burning Skies a few days ago.  The people at Moonstone Books did a great job packaging this book and of course Doug Klauba’s cover is one of the best pulp paintings ever done. We’ve made an agreement to purchase the original from Doug and hopefully, but his Fall, it will be hanging on the Air Chief’s office wall.  Again, you can pick up copies of this book at Moonstone’s on-line store.  It will also be available through comicbook shops after the 22nd of July and eventually on-sale at Amazon.  We hope you’ll give it a try. We had a blast writing it.

Several days ago, Rob Davis finished drawing the beautiful image above.  It is the last such for the new project we are doing together for Moonstone Books.  Early this morning Rob wrote to say his mother had passed away in her sleep last night.  All of here extend our deepest condolences to Rob and his entire family at this time of loss and will be keeping them in our hearts and prayers.  Eerie how that drawing became a sad reality.

And finally, again, discovering this late today, the Air Chief has once again been nominated for the Munsey Award.  This award, named after a famous pulp editor of the 30s, is handed out each year at PulpFest to that person who has gone above and beyond to promote and support pulp fandom.  Ten people are nominated and from these nominees, past winners choose a new recipient.  So a colleague notified us today that we were one of the ten nominees.  After reading the complete list the Air Chief was simply bowled over …and humbled.  Even to be included amongst these great people is an honor and we are extremely gratified to have been nominated. That’s a win all by itself.

Happy Birthday America, you are still the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, and the Air Chief thanks God every day for having been born an American.  In these difficult times, many folks have been diluted into thinking its cool to criticize her and point out her failings.  The truth is, there isn’t a great country in the world and no matter how much these idiots rant, they still stay right here enjoying the fruits of liberty justice.  To all my Loyal Airmen who understand what it means to be a “true” patriot and love your country, Happy 4th of July.  Now be careful with those fireworks.

Last week the Air Chief’s family all got together and the only ones missing were Valerie and the Air Chief.  Our baby sister Ann (in the middle back) has traveled back to New Hampshire with her husband Norman to visit relatives.  To the left in the yellow shirt is brother Paul (youngest of we three boys) and to the right in the light blue shirt is George, the second after the Air Chief.  This gathering took place at George’s home in Massachusetts and we were thrilled they were all able to convince Mom (seated) to go.  She rarely leaves her senior home back in Dover, NH. these days. But hay, at 91, she has that right.

Here’s another great shot of this wonderful gathering.  Won’t bother labeling what are mostly strangers to all of you, but will say amongst these are brother George’s two married children, Emily and Justin, and their kids.  So that’s Mom there surrounded by four of her great-grand-kids.  We’re told she had a great time.  We love them all so much and truly enjoyed them sharing these pictures with us.

Okay, and now for our newest Airship 27 pulp release we have SIX-GUN TERRORS, Vol Two by Fred Adams, Jr with cover and interior illustrations by Zachary Brunner.  We are thrilled to have this sequel out, as the first volume was our biggest seller at the recent Derby City Comic Con we attended two weeks ago.  Fred is an excellent writer and if you like weird westerns, you are going to love this one for sure.

On another really happy note, the Air Chief’s latest pulp action thriller, NIGHT HAWK – Burning Skies is now on-sale at Moonstone Books. And now we have some sad news to pass along, Loyal Airmen.  After ten years operating as one of the hippest comic news site on-line, Comic Related is shutting down its operations.  The three owners, Chuck Moore (the founder) along with Brant Fowler and John Wilson, have all agreed it was time to end the site and move on to new, individual challenges.  The Air Chief has always seen Comic Related as our internet home, it’s where we had our personal forum all these years and over that time we made so many new friends, created projects together and even ended up co-hosting various podcast.  Note, both Zone 4 and the Airship 27 Podcast, managed by Brant, will be continuing as ever, it is just that there we no longer be a central clearing house to visit every day.  Our hats off to Chuck Moore and the entire CR family. It was a great ride and we owe you all so much.  Thanks from the heart.

Greeting Loyal Airmen.  We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day weekend.  The Air Chief and his partner, Rob Davis, of Airship 27 Productions, had so much fun at the Derby City Comic Con in Louisville, KY.  We tip our pulp fedoras to the creator, organizer of this great two day show, Mr. Chuck Moore…and of course the super people of Louisville, who made us feel so welcome.  Wow, but thousands of folks came through that hall and we never stopped selling our pulp books and lots of our Redbud Studio comics.  To say it was one of our most successful shows would be an understatement.  We also got to meet lots of people we’ve been internet friends with for years such as Bill Nichols of SKETCH magazine (and from that the Air Chief may soon be writing a new article for them), and his son Alex.  And writers new pulp fiction writers Glenn Porzig and C.E. Martin, both good guys and hopefully we’ll be able to recruit them to do some fiction for us in the near future.

Whereas it was also a time to hook up with our Comic Related family of friends from Brant Fowler, Lisa Moore, John Wilson, Chad Strohl, Dustin Carson and B.J. Johnson.  In fact on Sunday morning, Brant, John and the Air Chief recorded the newest episode of our ZONE 4 podcast live from the convention floor.  It should post today on-line at Comic Related.  That was certainly a first for us.  Again, what a great show.

Then the Air Chief gets home to find all kinds of wonderful Father’s Day cards and really cool gifts from our loving sons and daughters, once of which was this Batman Maine Tee-Shirt from daughter Michelle, her husband Chris and our granddaughters, Kristi & Chelsea.  Can’t wait to wear this at our next con.  Oh, yeah.

Our sister Ann and her husband Norman, are up in New Hampshire from Florida visiting relatives, including their first stop to see our Mom.  At 91, Gabriel Fortier is looking fantastic.  Thanks for sharing the picture, Sis.

Another joy of attending comic cons is watching new creators unveil their latest efforts.  Brant Fowler, John Wilson and Lisa Moore, three of the Air Chief’s deared friends, launched their own comic company, Last Ember Press, at the con debuting their first new titles, PNEUMATIC CASES and FIRESIDE TALES.  You can find them here on-line (lastemberpress.com).  These are truly great comics.

Greeting Loyal Airmen and welcome to this week’s Flight Log.  Big news to pass along this week, so let’s rock and roll.  First up our latest Airship 27 Productions pulp book is out and on sale at Amazon.  It’s the first ever Ravenwood – Stepson of Mystery full length novel and was written by Micah Harris and features interior art (& cover) by pro artist Bret Blevins.  This is one we’ve been so anxious to bring to you and are thrilled that it is finally out and available.  We hope, as every, you’ll check it out.

The big news in last week’s Flight Log was our kicking of a mega benefit anthology project to help fellow writer/publisher Tommy Hancock. Well over 50 writers and 20 artists have signed on to the project…but the most spectacular news of all was that Doug Klauba, one one of the finest artist in the business has volunteered to paint the cover for this book – LEGENDS OF NEW PULP FICTION.  We were bowled over by Doug’s generous offer and know what he delivers is going to be truly special. We’re hoping to have an October release date for the book.  Stay tuned for more as it develops.

We reported a while back that the good people at Scaldcrow Games are doing a Brother Bones role-playing module for the pulp-world game.  To help spur supporters, we offered to put three people who contributed into a Brother Bones story.  Scaldcrow Games owner T. Glenn Bane had that drawing to day and the winners were Gerald Kustler, Mark Kalita and Michael Brown.  Congratulations, gentlemen and yes, you are going to be in the very next Brother Bones story…the on that will be featured in the big benefit anthology book.

And finally, one our grandkids graduated from 8th this week.  Ms Taryn Rose Fortier, daughter to our son Scott and his wife Katie.  She is growing into such a beautiful young lady.  And this Fall she’s in high school  God, where does the time go?

And finally the Air Chief would like wish all the super-dads out there, a truly Happy Father’s Day.  This will be the very first such holiday the Air Chief will not be home to celebrate in over forty years being of to the Derby City Comic Con.  We were blessed with the greatest Dad in the whole world and have done our best to walk in the path he set for us.  It’s not always been easy, but when you are blessed with such wonderful sons and daughters as Scott, Kevin, Heather, Alan and Michelle, it’s not that hard either.  They are amazing human beings, two of them father’s as well….and our love for them is what has been this life’s journey so blessed.

Greetings Loyal Airmen, and here we go with a fun Flight Log this week. Titled “Thank you, Xander Bogaert.”

As many of you know our beloved Boston Red Sox have thus far been playing inferior baseball and been in the cellar of the American League East most of the season.  They had never won series, never had a come from behind win or taken three games in a row.  It seemed there was just no way to turn this downwards spiral around.  Then this past weekend against the Oakland Athletics, in Fenway, it finally happened!  The turning point we’d all be waiting for!  Boston swept the As, won three games in a row and took their first series sweep of 2015.  And it was due in large part to their young, rooking shortstop, Xander Bogaerts.  Coming up to bat in the bottom of the eight inning, the Sox were losing 5 go 1 and had two men.  Xander hit a long shot off the Green Monster and brought in two more runnings making it suddenly 5 to 3.  It was the beginning of the rally that would see them come from behind and by the end of that inning, the score was 7 to 5 in their favor.  Their close came out at the top of the 9th inning and got three quick outs to win the victory.  Trust me, Loyal Airmen, Red Sox nation had lots to celebrate.  Our boys are back!!

(AMENDING – The above was written four days ago…since then the Sox went to Baltimore and proceeded to once again play like a Little League team…losing again..and again..and again.  It hurts so bad. Sigh.)

One of the greatest joys for any writer is seeing their work in print.  After months of writing something, proofing, correcting etc.etc., the at long last get to hold it in your hands is just a sheer delight.  Such was the case this week when the Air Chief received his copies of his latest pulp novella, LADY ACTION – Sand of Forever.  Here we are in the office proudly showing them off.  And we’re told, this has been our hottest seller over at Amazon thus far this month. For that, we say to all you Loyal Airmen, thank you so very, very much.

Finally, the big news this week is the release of Airship 27 Productions’ second art book.  For the past ten years, since its inception as a pulp publisher, Airship 27 Productions’ super talented Art Director has been Rob Davis, the Air Chief’s partner and best friend in the world.  In that time aside from designing all out titles, Rob has contributed hundreds of interior illustrations to many of these books.  Now he’s collected 175 of these between two covers and the result is a book no graphic art lover or student should be without.  PULP – The Art of Rob Davis is now on-sale at Amazon and we urge you to pick up copy.  It features an Introduction by award winning British writer Ian Watson and the Air Chief does the honors of providing the post Afterword essay.  This is one book we can honestly say has been ten years in the making.

One of our best friends is publisher, writer, editor Tommy Hancock, shown above with the Air Chief taken at the Windy City Pulp & Paper Con.  The other day we heard the sad news that Tommy has been diagnosed with a serious heart ailment and is going to have a hard go of it in the coming months.  Meaning no strenuous work while he follows a strict regiment of rest, diet and exercise to make his heart strong again.  Feeling truly bad about his predicament, today we launched a campaign across the internet to produce a MASSIVE new pulp fiction anthology from Airship 27 Productions to be called – THE LEGENDS OF NEW PULP FICTION.  Profits from the sale of this book, which we hope to get in early Fall will all go to Tommy and his family to help defray some of the medical expenses they will be accruing the months ahead during his recovery.  With hours of posting a call for submissions, we’ve gotten in 27 writers and 6 artists committed to the project.  This will most likely end up being the BIGGEST book we ever produce…and we couldn’t be happier.  We’ll keep you posted.

Greeting Loyal Airmen, as most of you know, the Air Chief is a bibliophile (a lover of books) and we write a review blog on the internet called PULP FICTION REVIEWS.  Thus that is where we post our thoughts about new books that have come across our desks.  Recently one particular book we just reviewed was so exceptional we felt we had to mention it here in the Flight Log.

For almost ten years now, the Air Chief has been the moderator of a Yahoo Group on the internet called The Pulp Factory.  It is made up of 128 pulp writers, artists, editors, publishers and fans.  It is this group that hands out the coveted Pulp Factory Awards every year at the Windy City Pulp & Paper Con in Chicago.  Well, one of its members is Ian Watson, who prefers to be published under the I.A. Watson moniker. Anyway, Ian loves to write essays about the most obscure subjects from the history of the British Kings to the reason for chapters in books or the role of women in pulp fiction etc.etc.  For the past two years he’s done lots and lots of these mini essays on the Pulp Factory board and last year, Pro Se Press publisher Tommy Hancock had the really great idea of collecting them into a book.   WHERE STORIES DWELL is a marvelous read and one the Air Chief recommends to all our Loyal Airmen.  It’s just fun and informative all in one.  Ian is a wealth of history knowledge and loves to share it with others.  Do yourselves a favor a go to Amazon.com and pick up a copy. You’ll be glad you did.

On a really humorous note, Fort Collins has been invaded by rabbits.  Over the past year, the number of these furry little jumpers has increased a hundredfold and they are seen virtually everywhere throughout town.  Normally this explosion in their numbers would attract such predators as foxes to come down out of the foothills and feast.  Alas, for whatever reason, no foxes at all and so the rabbits keep doing what they do best, multiply.  The other day our granddaughter, Cora. was out planting flowers for her maternal grandfather and while in his back yard saw that she had some company.  She took the photo above.  Let’s hope the little fellah dines on the green grass and not the new flowers.

Ten years ago, when the Air Chief first started writing pulp fiction he created a female characters called Miss Fury.  Her mother was Swedish and her father Japanese and her full name was Kate Furyaka, but the world would know her as Miss Fury.  That one and only story was called “FURY IN VERMONT,” and was published in an anthology called “DARK FURIES.”   Ironically the editor at the time has an artist do up an illustration for the story…but it was never used.  It’s the one above on the left.  We like the piece a great deal.  Then last year, pal Rich Harvey, asked if the Air Chief had any old stories he could reprint in his pulp magazine, “PULP ADVENTURES # 15.”  We thought it would be cool to see this story back in print for a larger audience and let him have it.  Lo and behold he commissioned artist Ed Coutts to do several illustrations from the story.  To the right above, is Ed’s loose pencils of the character.  Again, a very decent take that Air Chief appreciated a great deal.

So bring this all up you ask?  Well in about a week Airship 27 Productions will be reprinting the very first pulp book we ever published.  The one started our company; “THE HOUNDS OF HELL,” by yours truly and Gordon Linzner.  In doing up this new edition, Art Director Rob Davis and the Air Chief thought it might be best to remove the two short stories that original appeared in the back of the book with something else for the Anniversary Edition.  To that end, we suggested “FURY IN VERMONT.” Yup, it is about to get a yet a third printing and Rob has just turned in his own version of Ms. Furyaka.  When we announce the release of that new edition, we promise to show you Rob’s interpretation.  We think you’ll like it.  In the meanwhile, the Air Chief really has to sit down and write some NEW Miss Fury adventures.  Don’t you think?

Greeting Loyal Airmen, what with the summer season a month away, Memorial Day has come and gone and Hollywood has opened the flood-gates for their season blockbuster movies.  In the past two weeks Valerie and the Air Chief have caught several of these highly anticipated films.  AVENGERS – Age of Ultron was as much over-the-top fun as the first Avenger flick.  The following week we saw the new Mad Max actioner, FURY ROAD.  Now that is a wall to wall action movie and brilliantly staged.  The car stunts are out of this world.

Yesterday we went to see the new Disney flick, TOMORROWLAND written and directed by Brad Bird.  Now the Air Chief is a huge fan of this fellow, as he is the person responsible for JOHN CARTER, one of the best movies of the past ten years in our humble opinion.  He also designed the Iron Giant for that animated classic. So for the most part, Bird generally delivers the goods.  And at the start of this feature, we were swept away along with a young boy and his rocketpack as he gets to go to this amazing futuristic city in a parallel dimension.  Watching him swoop all over this shining metropolis, we were instantly reminded of THE ROCKETEER, another all time favorite.  There are a lot of fun things about TOMORROWLAND and the first half of the movie works beautifully.  But the ending was a major disappointment as it turns out to be a clunky sermon about saving the earth and the environment with no true message of hope for man’s future.  Now, in all fairness, Val liked the movie a great deal and says the Air Chief is way too picky.  Perhaps she’s right, but this is one we’d recommend you wait to see on TV.  That’s our two cents worth.

On the other hand what has proven to be a truly exceptional viewing experience is the History Channel’s new mini-series TEXAS RISING.  Starting from the massacre at the Alamo, this series tells the tale of the creation of Texas and the birth of the Texas Rangers.  It deals with the political and social issues of the times what with American and Mexican settlers trying to survive under the tyrannical yoke of a dictator in Santa Anna while at the same time battling Indian tribes such as the Cherokee, Apache and Comanche.  Powerful drama with an all star cast.  The Air Chief is really enjoying this one to the max.

And finally we end this week’s Flight Log on a truly happy note.  After an entire month of no releases from Airship 27 Productions, we are thrilled to announced our newest pulp book is now on sale at Amazon.  LADY ACTION- The Sands of Forever is our first ever paperback title and sells for only $8.  Based on the popular action figure line from Captain Action Enterprises, LLC, this is the first ever prose adventure of Nicola Sinclair, codename Lady Action.  That cover cover is by artist Ted Hammond and the good people at Captain Action Enterprises will be giving away free posters of it at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.  So if you are going, be sure to find their booth and get one for your wall. Greetings Loyal Airmen, been a wet couple of weeks here in Colorado, but one bright moment was the birthday of someone truly special.

Our oldest son, Scott turned 44 back Wednesday.  Scott is such a great human being, he’s an awesome father to our grand kits Taryn and Logan, devoted husband to Katie, great brother to Kevin and Heather and again, our personal blessing in this world.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY # 1 SON!!  We hope it was great as you deserve nothing less.

Sometimes in the writing biz, it is either feast or famine.  It’s been a long while since the Air Chief has had a new book released, whereas it now appears two of our titles will be available within the next few weeks.   First should be LADY ACTION – The Sands of Forever from our own Airship 27 Productions and then a few weeks later NIGHT HAWK – Burning Skies will be coming to you from Moonstone Books. We’re extremely excited about both these titles.  Stay tuned and we’ll of course let you know exactly when they are out and where you can pick up a copy.

Almost ten years ago, the Air Chief first learned about Bass Reeves, the greatest lawman the frontier west ever had.  Shortly thereafter we picked up Prof. Art Burton’s excellent biography of Reeves and we’re blown away by this black lawman’s achievements in the Indian Territories after the Civil War.  Way to numerous to go into here.  Let us just say we were so excited, we suggested to artist Rob Davis that we create a graphic novel about the man’s life.  Eventually we did produce an 8 pg proposal and Rob did up some great artwork but sadly we could never find a comic company to pick it up and the proposal languished in our files.

Earlier this week it was announced over the internet that actor Morgan Freemen, working with an independent studio, had come to agreement with HBO for them to produce and air a mini-series biography of this great, but little know U.S. Deputy Marshal.  That news caused a huge ripple across the internet with lots of the Air Chief’s friends flagging him concerning this great news.  One such friend was writer Gary Phillips who asked if we might not be thinking of doing a Bass Reeves title for Airship 27 Productions.  Well, Gary’s query was the spark that lit the fire.  It was such a fantastic concept, we immediately set about making it happen and Gary was the first writer we recruited for the project.  BASS REEVES – FRONTIER MARSHAL will be a brand new anthology starring this amazing lawman and rounding the book will be writers Derrick Ferguson, Andrew Salmon and Mel Odom.  Rob Davis will handle the interior illustrations but no cover artist has yet been chosen.  If all goes well, we hope to have the book out in the Fall or Early Winter.  We’ll as ever keep you posted, Loyal Airmen.

Greeting Loyal Airmen, we’ve got some exciting news for your.  Scaldgrow Games has successfully completed their Kickstarter Campaign for “Ron Fortier’s Cape Noire” rpg based on my Brother Bones stories that appeared in our Airship 27 Productions titles.  A huge thanks goes out to TGlenn & Theresa Bane, and Drew Mayer, for making this all possible. The actual game module will see print in Feb 2016.  We can’t wait.

Often times we are asked about how we deal with rejections.  Oh yes, Loyal Airmen, even after three decades as a professional writer, we still do get our share of our rejections.  Thing is we never let them get us down or deter us from moving ahead.  Sometimes a rejection can turn out the be the best thing that ever happened.  Here’s a classic example.  Last year we were invited to contribute a short comic strip to a new comic book anthology which had the Frankenstein monster as its theme.  So we sat back and wrote MONSTER VS MACHINE, a story wherein the monster battled a steampunk robot.  We submitted the story and a few days later the editor replied back that it didn’t suit their needs.  They were looking for “something” else.  Okay, we shrugged and put the script away in our files.  A few months later we hooked up on-line with artist Erik Roman and asked if he’d like to draw it for us.  Erik jumped on board and did a great job bringing the story to visual life.  We were so happy with the result that ultimately we published it in the fifth issue of our own black and white title, “Ron Fortier’s Tales of the Macabre.”  It came out great and people who read it enjoyed it a lot.  One of those was our colleague, Todd Jones, who happens to publish his own line of black and white comics and he asked if he might reprint MONSTER VS MACHINE in his new issue of “Wicked Awesome Tales.”  We contacted Erik and he was A-O-K with the reprint and off Todd went.  A little while later Todd informed us he’d opted to give the story the cover spot and went as far as to commission local painter Jeff Herndon to do the cover.  What Jeff turned in is stunning (See above) and when Erik saw he was delighted.  So….not bad for a story that initially started its life as a reject.  See what we mean?  Never ever give up on a story…or whatever it is you are dreaming up.  Keep plugging till you make it happen.  So says Ye Old Air Chief.

On the subject of what’s new, check out the gorgeous painting above by super artist Ted Hammond.  The Air Chief is almost done writing LADY ACTION – The Sands of Forever.  The first ever prose story featuring this new character who is part of the Captain Action family.  As you Loyal Airmen will recall, in the past two years we’ve published two Captain Action pulp novels.  Now the ladies get their turn with this fantastic character.  Book should be finished in a few days and available for sale soon thereafter.  We’ll keep you posted.

Greetings Loyal Airmen, well last Sat. the Air Chief was on hand at Gryphon’s Game & Comics for Free Comic Book Day and from the time they opened the doors to closing, they were jammed packed with comic fans.  Well over 2,000 local comic fans showed up at the show.  We sold tons of comics and pulps and had a great time meeting all these great people.

One of our many pals on hand was artist Jeff Herndon, seen here at his table.  If you look at the cool painting behind Jeff you’ll see the next cover to the comic horror anthology WICKED AWESOME TALES # 4 produced by our writing pal, Todd Jones. It features the Frankenstein Monster fighting a Steampunk Robot and is based on our story, “Monster vs Machine” that appears in the comic with art by Erik Roman.  It already appeared in Ron Fortier’s Tales of the Macabre issue # 5 and we let them use it for this comic.

On another fun front, Valerie and the Air Chief finally got down to the local cinema to see AVENGERS – AGE OF ULTRON and both of us loved it.  Obviously the Air Chief was in prime geek-mode throughout and think the film, as the first in the series, was just the perfect balance of action, drama and humor.  Marvel Studios once again proves they know how to do comic book movies.  One only wishes DC would pay attention, instead of always make dark, somber epics which in the end are really not that much fun at all. Sigh.

Happily the Air Chief doesn’t get sick often.  So earlier this week, when we work up with a stuffy head cold, we immediately taking steps to make its duration a short one.  Over the counter fever reducers and pain fighters for sore, achy muscles. And of course the good wishes of all our friends over on FB.  48 hrs later, we are feeling ten times better and looks like we actually did nip this old cold in the bud.  We do so hate being sick.  Besides, we can’t afford to be laid up, we’ve got tons of new comic and pulp works in progress.  Got to stay on top of things.
