Greetings Loyal Airmen, well here we are into the month of October and one of my favorite holidays is just around the corner, Halloween.  Always love planning what treats we're going to have ready for all the little ghost and goblins who come around.  Have so many fond memories of walking around my home town of Somersworth, NH, dressed up in a crude home-made costume with a huge pillow case as our carry bag and we'd usually get home with it at least half filled with candy. Yum.

Okay, still plenty of time before it gets here, in the meantime we've gotten a new pulp book out.

This past week saw the release of our fourth anthology starring the classic pulp hero, JIM ANTHONY – Super Detective.  Since starting Airship 27 Productions, one of our primary goals was to shine the spotlight on some of the lesser known pulp heroes and Jim Anthony falls into that category.  This volume contains four brand new stories of the hero who was half-Irish, half-Comanche and All American, as written by Frank Byrns, Erwin K.Roberts, Joel Jenkins and Mark Justice.  It has interior illustrations by Michael Neno and a beautiful cover by Eric Meador.  This is Eric's first work for Airship 27 and we truly hope it won't be his last.   The book is available now at Amazon.com as both a hard copy and e-book for their Kindle. A week from today thousands of comic fans from all over the country will be converging on New York city for the big annual New York Comic Con.  And no, the Air Chief will not be one of them.  Ha. We did the show several years ago and had a blast.  But we do have two really good Colorado amigos who will be there and premiering the release of the first issue of their new vampire horror comic, STAKES.  See that wicked cool cover above.  Written by Todd Jones with art by Felipe Echevarria, STAKES is an old fashion vampire thriller and not one of these new modern day wimpy, sparkly vampires.  This is raw, tough, savage stuff that is a real adrenalin rush.  The guys will be at the big NYCC and have a limited number of this preview special edition (100 total) sell and sign for you lucky enough to be there.  You can find Todd and Felipe at table M-8 in Artist Alley.  So if you are going to the con, do stop by and tell them the Air Chief sent you.
