WE’RE BACK

  • On 17 Jun | '2011

Greetings Loyal Airmen, after twelve days back in New Hampshire and Maine visiting family and friends we are back at Hangar 27 HQ here in wonderful Fort Collins, Colorado.  We took a few fun pictures and wanted to share some of them with you this week and next.  But before we jumped into those, we have a truly important announcement to make.  Our newest Airship 27 Productions pulp title is out!  DAMABALLA is a novel by noted writer Charles Saunders and features the first ever African American 1930s pulp avenger.

This is a history making title in the pulp genre and we hope you'll give it a look.  It features a cover by Charles Fetherolf with interior illustrations by Clayton Hinkle, design work by Rob Davis and edited by Ye Old Air Chief.  You can pick up a copy by clicking on the Dirigible logo to the left of this column as ever.  Or download digital copy, again follow that link.  All of us involved with DAMBALLA are extremely proud of this effort.

And now on to those pictures of our trip.  Above is Valerie and her family.  Bottom row, left to right, her sisters Barbara, Lorraine the matriarch of the clan and sister Sandy.  Standing behind them, Valerie and brother Ronnie. It was taken at the Rockingham Assisted Living Home after we all shared a super Italian dinner together.

Not to me outdone, here's a shot of the Air Chief and his mom, Gabrielle, taken at the Wentworth Home.  It was great seeing her again, in her usual upbeat good spirits.  Mom's a spry 86.  Oh, and she loved our Airship 27 tee-shirt.  Too cool.

Here's a great photo of Val and our oldest daughter, Michelle, taken at her home in Maine.  We said across the street at one of their neighbor's home.  They had an apartment affixed to their house and were overly kind in allowing us to rent it during our stay.

And lastly a great shot of the Leclerc Family, left to right, Chelsea, Chris, Michelle & Kristi.  We've missed them so much and it was a pure joy getting to see them again.  Both Val and the Air Chief love our family more than mere words can say and they made our trip back something truly wonderful.  Next week we'll post a few more fun pictures.

And our last news of this first week back is the release of MR JIGSAW – Man of a Thousand Parts # 9 at long last.  We love artist Gary Kato's cover (above).  This volume features three brand new Jiggy adventures; “The Puzzle That is Charlie Grant,” “The Boring Captain Yawn,” and “I had Mr.Jigsaw's Secret Love Child.” As you can probably guess by those zany titles, this is another 24 pages of madcap, wholesome comic fun as only Jiggy can deliver.  We hope you'll pick it up. Simply go to our Links Page and click on the Redbud Studio icon.  Next week we'll showcase as yet another new title being launched from Redbud.

Till then, it's great to be back and thanks for stopping by as ever.
Ron – Over & Out!!
