FUN FANDOM THROUGH TIME

  • On 5 Jun | '2026
Greetings Loyal Airmen, over the years the Air Chief has been involved with one form of fandom or another and along way work with some really fun fellow comic fans. Upon first moving to Fort Collins, we hooked up with the ZONE 4 weekly podcast (voice only then) along with three other great comic guys. As our avatars on the show, we became the Air Chief, then Brant Fowler was the Swordsman, John Wilson the Superhero and Gordon Dymowski the Jedi Knight. We had so much fun and this show lasted several years. After it wrapped up, Rob and the Air Chief opted to start the Airship 27 Podcast.

AIRSHIP 27 PODCAST

Along the way to lift off, we also brought along Radio Rita. Note, in the beginning, Rob was still a novice at all this podcast stuff and Brant jump into the help us get rolling. So for maybe a half-year, Brant would record the shows for us until Rob was comfortable to take it on himself. And as of now, we are 105 episode into that series. Thanks Brant, we’re forever grateful.

THE SILVERLINE TUES NIGHT SHOW

And finally, last year, the Air Chief signed on to co-host the Silverline Podcast on Tuesday night joining the team of Tim TK (writer) Jose Fuentes (artist) David Rios (Colorists). It’s been a wild couple of months and we’re fitting in nicely with these talented creators as The Old Dude. Hahahaha.

THE CRIMSON NUN SKETCHES

Although very busy at his day job, Crimson Nun artist Jesse Thomas, managed to find some minutes to do up a few new sketches. Here he gives us Gabrielle Cauxvette as a young lady in the middle of her training to be a special agent of Pope Pius VI.
And here is His Holiness. Note, although Gaby and our story is fictional, Pius XI was real and in the final issue of our mini-series, we will be featuring a short essay on his life and times hope you Loyal Airmen will find interesting. He truly was a holy man for his turbulent times.

THE BOSTON BOMBERS Vol 2 Update

Above is artist Rob Davis’ pg # 3 of THE BOSTON BOMBERS Vol 2, Issue # 4. Now we’re aware all of you are still waiting for us to get Issue # 3 out. Unfortunately the good people at Ka-Blam Printing have yet to post it on their retail site (IndyPlanet.com) where you can get issues # 1 & # 2. Of that Rob and the Air Chief have absolutely no control. Trust me Loyal Airmen, the Air Chief checks that on-line site once a week and is just as, if not more, frustrated as you are. The second it post and we see it there, we’ll cut the link and plaster it all over the internet to include right here and of course our Facebook pages. Hang in there, it has come sometime. Meanwhile Rob continues his work on issue # 4 while the Air Chief is pounding away on the script to issue # 5. Ah, the foibles of independent comics. Ha.

And that’s it for this week, Loyal Airmen, as always, thanks for stopping by. We hope wherever you reside you are all enjoying this nice summer weather. Till next week, Ron – Over & Out!
