THINGS REV UP
- On 20 Sep | '2024
Greetings Loyal Airmen, things are revving up with all the Air Chief’s many projects. So let’s jump right in, shall we.
BROTHER BONES GRAPHIC NOVEL
Artist Joe Arnold has been tweaking his design work for the characters that appear in our Brother Bones the Undead Avenger stories. All in preparation for the brand new graphic novel he is drawing. It will, for the first time ever, tell Bones’ origin in comic form. Stay tuned, it is going to be wild.
THE BOOK HUNTER’S DISCIPLE
Our newest Airship 27 Production pulp title release is “The Book Hunter’s Disciple,” by Barbara Doran. This is the second in Barbara’s Chinese fantasy series. Artist Gary Kato provides the nine black and white interior illustrations and Colorado’s own Guy Davis the fanciful color cover above here. As ever book is available at Amazon in both paperback and on Kindle. Continued thanks to all you Loyal Airmen for your support. It means the world to us.
A NEW SHORT STORY
We mentioned a few weeks ago that we were writing a Codename – Intrepid short story for Bob Mendenhall’s fourth volume in his action series. From creator/publisher Robert J. Mendenhall comes the complete roster. “Volume 4 is scheduled to hit the stands in February 2025 with a stellar line-up including Ron Fortier, Fred Adams, Jr, John C. Bruening, Andy Fix, and Gordon Dymowski. And some guy named Mendenhall. Holy Smoke!” The Air Chief is really thrilled to be included among this group of super talented New Pulp writers. Above is artist Ron Randall’s depiction of the Intrepid team.
ME & BOOMER
Was having a little chat with our dog Boomer the other day and our granddaughter Cora snapped the photo above. He’s a golden lab just a few months beyond a year old and we all love him dearly.
HAMLET’S END
Artist Zane DeGaine continues his excellent work our western comic, “Hamlet’s End.” Here’s his Pg 15 from issue # 1. Again, our hope to have it out in time for November’s Rocky Mountain Con here Denver.
And that’s a wrap for this week, Loyal Airmen. As ever, thanks for stopping by and we’ll see you all back here next Friday morning.
Ron – Over & Out!
