KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN ENDS

  • On 20 May | '2022

Greetings Loyal Airmen, we are beginning this new Flight Log on May 14, nine days before the BEYOND THE STARS Kickstarter Campaigns ends. As of this writing, we are still $1,500 short. Will we make it? Whereas we don’t have a crystal ball to see into the future, let’s check out other things going on in the Air Chief’s projects and we’ll get back to this agenda as the week progresses.

JIN & TONIK

The amazing artist Cesar Feliciano has turned in Pg # 32 of our spy thriller. Basically what’s happening the page here is a shotgun wedding Soviet style. Believe us, Loyal Airmen, his final pages for issue # 1 will blow you away.

ZORRO

A few weeks back we listed several short stories that were on their way from various anthologies. One of those moving quickly into production is Bold Venture Press’ “Zorro’s Exploit” edited by Audrey Parente. It features a stunning cover by Francisco Silva and has 17 brand new stories, including one by ye Old Air Chief called “The Road to Penance.” We’ll certainly let you know when the book is available.

THE ADVENTURES OF DOC ATLAS

CORRECT

Airship 27 Production is really thrilled to announce our newest title, “The Adventures of Doc Atlas” by Mike Black & Ray Lovato. Mike and Ray have been writing the adventures of the pulp hero for more than a decade and now, thanks to their partnership with us at Airship 27, all his past tales will be included in brand new editions which will eventually lead to newer stories. Above the painted cover to Vol 1 by artist Ed Catto. This is his first cover for us, whereas Ed previously earned a coveted Pulp Factory Award for his interior illustrations. Ed will be the artist for all Doc Atlas volumes. As ever you can find this book at Amazon in both paperback and on Kindle. Thanks always for your support Loyal Airmen.

BEYOND THE STARS UPDATE –

KAL-MIKE

It is now Wednesday and all we need to wrap up our goal for the BEYOND THE STARS Kickstarter Campaign is $791 before this coming Sunday, the 22nd. Will we make it? Who knows. Meanwhile, Mike Belcher, our good friend, and the amazing letterer on the project just turned in the above sketch of the series’ protagonist, Science Warrior Kal. Here’s hoping all of us get to see her adventures in print.

MR. JIGSAW – Man of a Thousand Parts.

And here’s what we hope is some exciting news for all you Mr. Jigsaw fans out there. Our last issue, # 16 came well over a year ago. (Above left.) Sorry it has been so long, but caught up with all our zillion other pulp projects for Airship 27 and the rash of new comic book projects, poor Jiggy got left on the back burner. Well no more. Today, we wrapped up the 24 pg script for issue # 17 titled – “Broken Hearts & Misfits” and it is on its way to artist Gary Kato. A hint, Misfits refers to the team of zany super-heroes first introduced in issue # 6, who then banded together to become Mr. Jigsaw’s Misfits. It will probably take Gary at least three months to get her all drawn up. We’ll keep posted. Anyway, really happy to have this one in the pipeline at long last.

THREE DAYS LEFT

It is now Thursday, 19th. With only three days left on our Kickstarter Campaign, we are only $249 short of reaching our goal. Will we make it before Sunday the 22nd?  This is where the Air Chief needs to sign out and schedule the post. Hopefully next week we’ll have some great news to share with all of you. Until then, to all you contributed, heartfelt thanks…and God Bless.
