Greetings Loyal Airmen. Well, after a decade of publishing some of the finest Sherlock Holmes mysteries via our best selling series, Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, we’ve reached volume 20. And to celebrate that achievement, we decided to make it super special.

Included in this special volume is writer I.A. Watson’s novella, “The Strand Magazine Murders,” wherein Holmes, Dr. Watson solved a murder at the various publishing house that chronicled their adventures. To add this theme, Art Director Rob Davis designed the book to look like a copy of that famous magazine and so we are offering it in three different formats. First there is our usual Kindle version, then our regular 6 X 9 paperback version, and then the larger square format to resemble the original Strand. Also withing these pages you’ll find stories by Teel James Glenn, Ray Lovato and Michael BLack. Loyal Airmen, we are serious when we say this book will soon be come a collector’s item. BASS REEVES PAINTING

Another of Airship 27’s popular pulp series is our “BASS REEVES – Frontier Marshal,” based on the exploits of that real life U.S. Deputy Marshal who rode the badlands of Oklahoma (before it became a state) and surrounding territories. That’s a picture of him above left. Also there was an 8 part mini-series on television recently. The other day, fellow new publisher, Milton Davis, let it be known there is going to be a panel at this week-end’s Dragon Con in Atlanta devoted to the life and legend of this lawman. In doing so Davis printed a new painting done by artist James Loveless (above right) which the Air Chief just had to share with all you Loyal Airmen. Here’s hoping that panel is a huge success.

GARY’S KING ARTHUR COMIC

A couple of weeks back we mentioned that our pal Gary Kato’s black and white “The Eternal Sword” graphic novel had just been published at Amazon. Well our copy arrived in the mail today, a little beat up but still okay to read and enjoy and have for our own library. Gary tells an adult tale of the famous King Arthur legend and though we do highly recommend to you pick up a copy, please aware it is not intended for children. That said, it is an incredible achievement with gorgeous artwork throughout.

NEW PROMO BEYOND THE STARS

As we awaiting the final touches on “Beyond the Stars” # 4, artist Andrea Bormida was generous enough to provide us with this new pin-up of two of our heroes. Thanks, pal. We love it.

THE AIRSHIP 27 PODCAST RETURNS!

After months of being unable to record a new episode, the Air Chief is happy to report the Airship 27 podcast is back!!  Over a week ago, we dumped our Comcast account and signed on to a new internet service which has proven to be efficient and rewarding. And so the Air Chief, and Hangar 27’s Chief Engineer, Rob Davis, got together via Skype and recording Episode # 95. As we write this, that episode should now be available for you to view on You Tube. Again, simply write in the search box – Airship 27 Podcast # 95 and you should be able to find it. We hope you are as excited about this as we are.
